Homage to ancient traditions celebrated with pomp, joy and glutinous rice dim sums
Yauatcha, the dim sum teahouse from London is honouring the Chinese heritage by celebrating The Dragon Boat Festival which is a metaphor for the summer solstice across all three cities in India. The celebrations will include a month long limited edition menu crafted to offer dishes that are traditionally eaten during the festival with Yauatcha’s contemporary touch, featuring gooey, aromatic and delicious zongzi or glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or lotus leaves and stuffed with savory or sweet fillings, wok dishes along with a special festive dessert.
The Dragon Boat Festival, a unique celebration dating back 2,000 years, is a time to eat sticky rice, drink rice wine, race dragon boats and indulge in festivities with friends and family.
The meticulously created menu includes authentic but contemporary delicacies devoured during this festival. The newly introduced dim sums include options like Fried carrot roll with glutinous rice in spicy sauce, Steamed sticky rice with water chestnuts, shimeji mushroom and black fungus in lotus leaf, Steamed sticky rice with chicken in lotus leaf and Steamed sticky rice with prawn and mushroom in lotus leaf. From the Wok Dishes one can choose from Dual crispy mushroom with baby pakchoy in oyster sauce while seafood lovers can try the Crispy john dory fish with olives, vegetables and shimeji mushroom or the Prawns, beans and edamame in toban chili.
Try Rice and Noodle options like Dual of glutinous beetroot fried rice or the Braised efu noodle with mock meat and mushrooms. To complete the festive meal, guests can enjoy the Wine soaked water chestnut and mango cake with Sauvignon wine sorbet.

We have created new sticky rice dum sums and a wine based dessert to stay true to our authentic tradition in China. The Dragon Boat Festival a la carte menu is available to order from June 1, 2018 until June 30, 2018 at Yauatcha Bengaluru for all day dining.
