Over 1200+ employees including senior leaders ran for the fifth year in a row
Optum collaborated with Hyderabad based Menon Fitness group to train runners
National, August 27, 2018– More than 1200 Optum employees participated in the 8th annual Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2018, held on 26th August. Optum, the health services business of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), collaborated with Airtel Hyderabad Marathon and also bagged the trophy for Maximum Employee Participation at the event for the fifth successive year.
Pledged towards their mission of advancing healthy lifestyles, Optum brought an overwhelming participation of over 900 men and 200 women across categories. Scaling up their female participation, as many as 61 female participants ran for the 10k half marathon and 129 for the 5k run this year which is a whooping increase as compared to last year.
Taking a leap towards their legacy of a healthier lifestyle and wellbeing of the employees, Optum collaborated with Hyderabad based fitness group Menon Fitness to assist the passionate runners improve their performance, be injury free and nurture their nutritional requirements. Optum’s employee wellness program, LiveWell, helped the employees to connect with the fitness and wellness experts and uplift the health quotient in their lifestyle.
