Bangalore, June 4th, 2019: While participating in her first shooting tournament, Mahaniya Venkatesha a grade 4 student of Greenwood High International School, won a gold medal in the pre-state under 10 championship in 10-meter open sight air rifle shooting held recently at Hawkeye Rifle Shooting Academy in Bangalore. More than 250 students participated in the tournament. She along with her two-member team scored 1,140, the highest score in all the categories to secure a gold medal. Mahaniya, also bagged a silver medal in the individual category by firing 40 shots in a single round and scoring 369 out of the total 400 points. She has now qualified for state level shooting championship which will be held at Karnataka State Rifle Association from July to August 2019.
