Institute Of Management Studies, Ghaziabad invited Mrs. Anuja Kapur- Criminal Psychologist & Advocate, Supreme Court of India for delivering a special talk about criminal psychology on 2nd day of one week PGDM Induction Programme students on Criminal Psychology.
Coming from a psychological and advocacy background, Mrs. Kapur also throws light on why students should know about their legal rights, how they can use them and they can also express their opinions on their rights. Apart from this, she sensitized the new entrants with the sexual and physical harassment laws as well. The students interacted with her and learnt a lot about criminal laws, psychology and women harassment issues.
Mrs. Kapur concluded the session by saying "Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination that violates our civil rights. Very generally, sexual harassment describes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct. The behavior does not have to be of a sexual nature, however, and can include offensive remarks about a person’s sex. The courageous act of reporting can change your social and employment culture to help create more inclusive and equality based norms at work."
